July visit from Nana

Here are some of the pictures when Joshua's mom came out to visit in July!

Abrianna's birthdy party pix!

Aubri's birthday party pix!

I know, I know . . .

So I have heard from some of you that I need to update my blog more . . . (aparently, there are people reading it!) so . . . I will start working on it . . .
We have had A LOT going on the last month or so . . . we have had visitors almost every week since we have lived in our new house, and have one more coming before joshua leaves!
We have had Aubri's 3rd birthday party, and are about to have Abigail's 6th birthday party!
Abby starts school on the 2nd of sept and turns 6 on the 3rd. I can't believe my little girl is already in 1st grade! That blows my mind.
Abby is still very much a girlie girl . . . loves Hannah Montana and anything that has dance involved in it! She is wanting to start gymnastics this fall . . . something to keep us busy while daddy is away!
Emma is getting so big. She is 4 now (as of 19Th of may) and really is her own person. She is also wanting to to gymnastics. I think i am going to have her start pre-k this fall as well.
Aubrianna is 3. She had a Tinkerbell birthday and loved it! Her hair is curly as ever. She knows she is the baby and trys to take full advantage of it . . . (I'm not havin' that, though!)
I will work on posting pix from the last couple of big events and visitors . . . just give me a bit of time! :)

Have I mentioned????

I don't know if I have mentioned lately how much I LOVE our church!!!
I have NEVER IN MY LIFE felt the love of Christ from a group of people like I have from this place. It is amazing! We have been so blessed with some amazing friends, and I am getting to know more and more of them through VBS.
We have been showered with love and support here. Joshua and I both feel like we have finally "found our place"!!! This is HOME for us now, and it feels amazing to say that!
This church has also been going through some major times of change, but for the first time also, I have not seen it crumble!
The PURE strength of BCC has been awesome!

Women of Faith in Washington DC

So, this past weekend, I had the pleasure of going to Women of Faith in Washington DC.
I knew most of the people that were going to be there, but I have to say, there was one woman who blew me away, Natalie Grant.

I had heard her music before, and had a couple of songs in my iTunes, but that was about it. AS SOON as she opened her mouth @ this concert, I was floored. She has an AMAZING voice. She was so real about things and about Jesus. Her music touched me.

So yeah, women of faith rocked. Not just because of the music, although it was awesome, but the speakers were great too.

God has been doing a lot in my life and on my heart the past couple of years, and I think just a little bit more got done this past weekend!

A good Visit!

Joshua's mom, Diana came for a visit this past week. We had a lot of fun!! For the 4Th of July, we went to Bolling Air Force Base and sat on the Potomac River and watched the fireworks over the Washington Monument. It was a very awesome time!!! Monday we went into DC and saw some of the sights that she didn't get to see when she was out in Dec.

When I have more than 5 minutes, I will post some pictures from our adventures~

Reminding myself . . .

I need to constantly remind myself that God is Good and he always takes care of his children! He knows just what you need when you need it. It might not always mesh with YOUR timing, but it is always perfect in Gods! We have been SO blessed moving to VA. We had some pretty rough times leading up to moving here, but we just had to keep reminding eachother that things will happen in GODS TIME and we have to be paitent! That is a very hard thing for humans, to be paitent and wait for something. In this day in age when everything needs to be INSTANT. Why don't we just slow down and look around at the blessings God is POURING into each one of our lives every day??
So many times we get busy with our own lives and troubles and exciting things that we forget about the others in our lives. That can never be good. We need to remember to take care of our families . . . the ones God gave you, or the ones you have chosen . . . you are blessings to them and they are a blessing to you! God did not put us on this earth to take care of ourselves and no one else. When someone is going through something hard, we need to step it up and do what we can to help them out. You know that saying it takes a whole village to raise a child is so true. God wants us to take care of one another. It doesn't matter to Him if you are living right next door, down the street, or on the other side of the country or world . . . we are all Gods creations and we need to take care of one another!
I know this seems like a lot of random stuff all poured out onto the page, but it is what was going on in my head at the moment. Take it as you will . . .
BLESSINGS!
